Terms and conditions/Important Instructions

Post: one Salary: NET/GATE qualified candidate: Rs. 16,000/-p.m. for initial two years and Rs. 18,000/- p.m. for the third year.

Non-NET/GATE candidates: Rs. 14,000/-p.m. for initial two years and Rs. 16,000/-p.m. for the third year. The project fellow will be also entitled for getting HRA as per university rules.

Tenure: 3 years. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the Project on 01/07/2018.

Essential Qualification:

1.Master degree in Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Environmental Science/Microbiology or any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks for general category (50% in case of SC/ST/PH)

2. UGC/CSIR NET, GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in basic Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology techniques

Age: Below 40 years as on 01/10/2015.

Relaxation in educational qualifications/upper age limit is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH

candidates as per UGC guidelines/GOI rules.

Project fellow will have to work full time in the Project and will not be entitled to avail vacations, e.g. summer, winter etc. The services of the selected candidate will be governed by the rules/ regulation of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh/UGC (XII plan MRP) guidelines but he/she will not be an employee of the University and shall have no claim for any benefit whatsoever on that account.

Mode of Selection: The selection shall be made on the basis of merit. The eligible candidates are required to appear for interview before the duly constituted Selection Committee for the purpose. The scheduled date, time and venue for the interview shall be intimated to the eligible candidates through phone/ e-mail. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview. The applicants should enclose self attested documentary proof for each claim made in the application. The candidates should carefully read the eligibility conditions before applying.
