ES-333: EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION

Time : 3 hours                                                                                                 Maximum Weigh tage : 70%

Note :   (i) All the four questions are compulsory.

(ii) All the questions carry equal weightage.

1. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Mention the basic features which characterize a 'good' evaluation system. Explain the meaning of each of them.

OR

Explain the differences in the methods and purposes of Formative and Assumptive evaluation.

2. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Explain the concepts of Norm referenced and criterion referenced evaluation. What are the similarities and differences between them ?

OR

What are the principles you will keep in view while framing instructional objectives ?

3. Write notes on any five of the following in 120 words each :

(a)    Comparative interpretation of Mean, Median and Mode.

(b)   Interpretation of Normal Probability Curve.

(c)    Give 5 Action Verbs for each - cognitive, effective and co native domain and also frame instructional objectives using them.

(d)   Psycho motor domain - Dave Model.

(e)    Absolute and Comparative Grading.

(f)    Question Bank - its use and advantages.

(g)   Job - analysis and its use in guidance.

(h)   Maintenance of Anecdotal Records.

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Select two topics which you have taught to your class. (Choose any from secondary level class).

Prepare an Achievement Test of 1 hour duration. Give details of all the steps including framing objectives, preparing blue-prints etc.
