ES-333: EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION

Time : 3 hours                                                                         Maximum Weightage : 70%

Note : (i) All the four questions are compulsory.

(ii) All the questions carry equal weightage.

1. Answer the following question in about 600 words.

Explain teaching-learning process and discuss the role and functions of evaluation in teaching - learning process.

OR

Explain the important differences between summative and formative evaluation with suitable examples.

2. Answer the following question in about 600 words.

Describe the basic principles to be kept in view while stating instructional objectives with

examples.

OR

Explain the concept, types and assessment of observation technique with examples.

3. Write short notes on any four of the following in about 150 words each.

(a) Norm-reference and criterion reference tests

(b) Rating Scale - Need and Use.

(c) Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation

(CCE) : concept, need and importance

(d) Item analysis : concept and use

(e) Grading : concept and types.

(f) Practical Test : concept and need.

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words.

As a teacher, you must have developed remedial material to teach concepts which were difficult to learn by your students. Mention that remedial material and describe its utility in removing learning difficulties of students on the basis of assessment carried out by you.
