ES-332: PSYCHOLOGY OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

1. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

How will you, as a teacher, develop holistic personality of your students ? Discuss with suitable examples.

OR

Discuss the impact of non - cognitive factors on student's learning and development. Support your answer with examples.

2. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Which approach to learning; behaviorist or cognitive, do you prefer while teaching your students ? Support your answer with convincing arguments.

OR

How will you describe the students with special needs ? Discuss the areas where you, as a teacher, will intervene to cater to their learning needs.

3. Answer any four of the following in about 150 words each :

(a) Discuss the following principles of development :

(i) Sequentiality

(ii) Differentiality

(b) Discuss specific instructional strategies for handling individual differences in intelligence.

(c) Explain the relevance of gender issues to teachers and teaching.

(d) Describe the principles of learning.

(e) How will you identify maladjusted students in your class ? Discuss.

(f) How will you organised guidance services in your school ? Discuss.

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Select a topic of your choice and prepare a lesson plan for the students of class IX incorporating the following principles of learning :

(a) Law of effect

(b) Law of practice

Highlight as to how the lesson plan is based on these principles of learning.
