1. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Discuss the concept and nature of mathematics with suitable examples.

OR

Distinguish between Analytical and Synthetic method of teaching mathematics.

2. Answer the following question in about 600 words :

Explain instructional strategy to teach any one of the following topics highlighting instructional objectives, teaching-learning process and approaches to evaluation :
(a) Compound Interest
(b) Percentage

3. Write short notes on any four of the following in about 150 words each :

(a) Importance of Assignment in Mathematics
(b) Characteristics of Real Numbers
(c) Comparison of Algebraic Laws of sets and
real numbers
(d) Teaching of 'Parallel Lines'
(e) Teaching of 'Congruence of Triangles'
(f) Drill and Practice for teaching mathematics

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words :


What is the importance of 'Laboratory approach in mathematics' ? As a teacher, you must have practiced laboratory approach in teaching of mathematics at secondary level. Illustrate with examples the mathematics topic for which you practiced laboratory approach highlighting the process of teaching - learning.
