Section-A

Q1. Solve any two questions:

(i) (a) Give a sketch of a shaft and hole showing basic size, deviations and tolerances.

(b) Sketch clearance fit, interference fit and transition fit.

(c) Sketch unilateral tolerance and bilateral tolerance.

(d) Sketch a hole basis system and a shaft basis system.

(ii) Two cylinders each of 60mm diameter and 120mm long axis penetrate each other with their axes bisecting each other at right angles. Draw their projections showing curves of interpretation.

(iii) Sketch front view of a stepped pulley.

Section-B

Q2. Solve any one question:

(i) Fig.1 gives details of a universal coupling. Assemble the parts and draw the following views of the assembly.

(a) Front vies upper half in section.

(b) Top view

(ii) Fig.2 gives pictorial view of a bushed bearing. Draw its following views:-

(a)  Front vies, right half in section.

(b) Top view, left half in section .
