Almost two decades old, this book 'Stand' started with just three or four

stalls and now has grown tenfold. It even has its own "Old Books Welfare

Association", which was formed in I994.It is currently headed by Javed Ali

Khan who says that the association was formed to keep a check on the

increasing numbers of shops and to put forward their demands before the
