II. On what different scales are topographical maps published in India? What are the uses of topographical maps? (1,3)
III. Discuss the methodology of interpretation of topographical maps in detail. (4)
UNIT -II
IV. What are profiles? How many types of profiles are there? What is the use of drawing profiles? (1,1,2)
V. Draw a longitudinal profile along AB and transverse profile along CD of the stream enclosed. (2,2)
UNIT - III
VI. What is remote sensing? What different types of sensors are used in remote sensing? What are the uses of remote sensing? (1,1,2)
VII. What is Electromagnetic Spectrum? Describe sensor resolution in detail. (2,2)
UNIT -IV
VIII. Define the concept of GIS in detail. (4)
IX. What is computer cartography? What are the major advantages of Computer Cartography over Conventional Cartography? (1,3)
