Time Allowed: Three Hours]     [Maximum Marks: 90 



Note: Attempt five questions in all. Question No. 1 is compulsory. Select one question from each of the four Units. Credit will be given for suitable maps/diagrams and examples. Students can use unmarked/transparent stencils and coloured pen/pencil.

(ii) Arithmetic and Agricultural Density. 

(iii) Define terms 'Ecumene' and 'Non-ecumene'. 

(iv) Fertility and its determinants. 

(v) Mortality and its causes.

(vi) Fecundity. 

(vii) Very high populated areas/countries in the world. 

(viii) Tertiary Sex Ratio.

(ix) Occupation. 

(x) Urbanisation and urbanism.

(xi) Crude birth rate and its demerits. 

(xii) Natural Sex Ratio.

(xiii) Primary and tertiary activities. 

(xiv) Main workers and marginal workers.

(xv) What are statutory towns? 10x2=20

4. What is population change? Discuss components of population change in detail. 17-1/2


5. What is Population Migration? Discuss its causes, types and consequences in detail. 17-1/2



UNIT-III
