I. Explain the following:

b) Explain the term race walking.
c) What is a decathlon? List the events and their order in the decathlon competition.
d) What does boxed mean?
e) What are break line and broken lines?
f) Two duties of International Road Course Measurer.
g) What is the world and Olympic record in 400m hurdles Men?
h) What are the rules to place the wind measurement instrument in triple jump event?
i) How can we break a tie in combined events?
j) What are the IAAF rules if world record will be broken in the throwing events in Olympics?
UNIT-I
II. Calculate and illustrate the 3000M steeplechase event in 400m track with a straight of 84.39M if the water jump is outside the track. Moreover, explain the duties of technical delegates and referees for the track events.
III. Explain the rules for the design of the course for cross country championship. Moreover, write the historical development of cross country and road races.
UNIT - II
IV. Explain the technique of triple jumping and moreover explain the faults and corrective techniques of the triple jump.
V. Explain the following:
a) Selection of pole vaulter.
b) How to create hang and delay during flight phase of pole vault.
c) Pole plant and take off.
UNIT - III
VI. Explain the development of Hammer (Men) performance in the Olympics since 1896.
VII. Prepare an annual training plan for inter-university level middle distance runners (Men) whose personal best is 1:53.7Sec (800M).
UNIT -IV
VIII. Mention the factors which influence the water jump technique in steeplechase event and explain its various phases.
IX. Describe in detail the technique and tactics of race walking.
