Explain the different methods of teaching mathematics used at secondary stage. Discuss the importance of heuristic and discovery method of teaching mathematics.

2. Answer the following questions in about 600 words.

Discuss different components of a good lesson plan and explain them with suitable examples.

OR

Discuss in brief different steps in constructing a unit test. Prepare one item for each of the categories of items.

3. Write short notes on any five of the following in about 120 words each :

(a) Importance of assignment in teaching mathematics

(b) Teaching the area of a triangle

(c) Solution of a quadratic equation

(d) Measure of Central Tendency

(e) Laboratory method of teaching mathematics

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words.

Teaching - learning aids are important in teaching of mathematics. Mention the teaching learning aids you have used and explain the process of preparation of teaching learning aids used by you.
